This easy dinner idea is done in nearly 30 minutes and better than takeout!

Get ready for this simple, one pan meal to replace your favorite takeout!
This meal was inspired by @gatherednutrition, when I saw her video on Instagram I knew I immediately had to try it. It came together so quickly, and my husband and I both agreed we needed to add it to our regular rotation.
I love this for supportive hormone health because it is a nutrient dense, easy, crave worthy meal. The broccoli provides wonderful antioxidants, fiber, and folate. Grass fed beef is packed with iron, zinc, and heart healthy Omega 3 fatty acids. Occasional consumption of beef can be part of a well rounded, nutritious diet (and this recipe makes it well worth it!). The sauce is fairly simple and brings the veg and protein together in such a delicious way, you’ll have to resist licking the bowl.
Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
2 tbsp oil
3 heads of broccoli, chopped
1 lb flank steak, sliced into thin strips
1/3 cup low sodium beef or veggie broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the sauce:
1/3 cup Tamari
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp arrowroot starch
2 tbsp honey
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tsp fresh minced ginger
1/2 tsp black pepper
Sea salt, to taste (optional)
For serving: sesame seeds, green onion, chili oil
Instructions:
Whisk all sauce ingredients together then set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp oil and broccoli. Cover the pan, leaving a little uncovered to allow steam to escape. Cook for 5-8 minutes, until bright and tender but not too soft. Remove from pan.
Add 1 tbsp oil to the same pan on medium heat. Add your steak and cook 2-3 minutes per side, until medium rare. Season with salt and pepper.
Reduce heat. Add broccoli, along with the broth and sauce. Stir to combine, then allow to cook for 5 minutes to let the sauce thicken.
Toss with rice or noodles of choice. I really like Haiku rice vermicelli noodles, the little bundles are the perfect portion size.
Top with sesame seeds and green onion; serve and enjoy!
